Croco Du Nil

Inspired by Sobek, the ancient Egyptian god of the Nile and embodied power, the Croco du Nil Sculptural Lounge reinterprets the crocodile’s armored anatomy as an elongated chaise. Scaled textures, calibrated gold ocular details, and a subtly articulated maw are abstracted into a controlled, ceremonial form. Upholstered in obsidian-black crocodile-embossed leather with restrained 18K gold PVD accents, the work balances latent menace with material refinement. A concealed steel structure and sculpted high-density foam core produce unexpected ergonomic depth, positioning the piece as a convergence of mythic symbolism, contemporary fabrication, and collectible design.
